Using the prayer map is very easy. We ask that you pray for the repentance and salvation of the people involved with the places highlighted on the map. We also ask that you pray against the demonic influences associated with those activities. That is spiritual warfare prayer. We need your help prayer warriors! You can pray in groups at your home or church or you can physically go to these places and confront the spiritual darkness directly with your prayers. We prefer the direct approach but all prayer helps. We can change this city! If you are not from Amarillo we strongly encourage you to do some research in your own city and create a map like this one for yourselves. Please steal this idea!
Here is an example of a crafted prayer we use at the demonic strongholds in our city. A crafted prayer is taken mostly from Bible scriptures. This one is about 95% directly from scripture with a few words of my own to connect them together.
Crafted Spiritual Warfare Prayer
Lord God our heavenly Father, all praise, power, and glory be to your name.
Father God, we pray in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who, according to Your word is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Father God You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that age which is to come. And You put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him, who fills all in all. For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing. He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand or say to Him, “What have You done?”
Father God, in the holy and precious name of Jesus Christ we reclaim the authority that You gave us in Your word for dominion when You said,”Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Father God, we reclaim this authority once lost and now regained by the victory of Your Son Jesus Christ upon the cross and His glorious resurrection and by His word when He said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over every power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Father God, we speak these things to exhort and rebuke with all authority and we let no one despise us. We listen to You, we who know righteousness, we Your people, in whose heart is Your law. We do not fear the reproach of men. Nor will we fear their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment. And the worm will eat them like wool. But Your righteousness will be forever and Your salvation will be from generation to generation.
Awake! Awake!,put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart and? And wounded the serpent?
Father God, by the authority granted to us by Your Son Jesus Christ and for the glory of Your holy name, we tear down this demonic stronghold. We destroy this idol in Your name.
For this is the way of those who are foolish, and of their posterity who approve their sayings. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwelling. For this we know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
And no one deceives us with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
Father God, we proclaim that this land, this city, this nation, is OUR dominion. YOUR dominion for the kingdom of Christ and God. We proclaim that the prince of the power of the air has NO dominion or authority here. That no ceremony or prayer of the enemy emanating from this place shall be of any effect. We bind in the name of Jesus Christ any and all enemy spirits here who squat on this land, Our land, YOUR land, and cast them out and they shall not return.
We pray this in the holy and precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
